The name "Line 204" comes from the itemized invoice of a movie or television production. Whereas "Craft Services" may be 'Line 50', Line 204 is for Production Rentals. And Line 200 is for 'Set Communications'.
Line 204 was established in 1997 out of my garage in Studio City (click in photo). When I came up with the idea to start this business, I asked some production manager friends of mine if they would give me a shot at their business. Their response was "We'll give you a shot because you're a friend of ours". I made it clear that I didn't want them to give me their business… I wanted to earn their business. This company was built on hard work, determination and relationships. Back in the "Garage" days I had two simple rules 1) to have the best equipment and 2) to give the best customer service. Today we still live by these simple rules.
Over the years we've listened to production teams (from PA's to Directors) that offer ideas how to make Line 204 better. When you speak, we take it to heart. So Thank "Y'all" for the praise and for the constructive criticism through the years. It is the reason we've come so far. From the outside, we may look like a large company, but to us we are still the same little business that started out of my garage. We owe our success, to you… the ever-so-loyal people in this industry that gave us a chance. Please keep telling us what you need and we will keep providing it.
